Hampton Hammers Football Club
Welcome to the home of the Hampton Hammers Football Club. Established in 1947 and formally known as the Hampton Methodist and United F.C Hampton Hammers welcomes new players, volunteers and supporters to the club. We attempt to be a socially inclusive club wherever possible. We are family oriented and we welcome wives, girlfriends, partners and children to the club for functions / matches.

Hampton Hammers are multicultural and accept people from all diverse backgrounds and ethnicity who have an interest in Australian Rules Football in the southeast region of Melbourne, represented by the Southern Football League (SFL). Hampton Hammers attempts to promote awareness of men’s health issues wherever possible, including participation in charity events.

This week the Seniors and Reserves play Sandown (away) and the Colts play St Kilda City (away).

Timings are as follows:

Colts - Players be at Peanut Farm Reserve no later than 8.35am. Match commences at 9.30am
Reserves - Players be at Edinburgh Reserve no later than 10.30am. Match commences at 11.40am
Seniors - Players be at Edinburgh Reserve no later than 11.45am. Match commences at 2pm

Peanut Farm Reserve is located in Blessington Street, St Kilda (Mel Ref 58 A1)
Edinburgh Reserve is located in Edinburgh Road, Springvale (Mel Ref 80 D5)

Our Colts were facing up to the undefeated competition leader, a couple of boys out injured, we were always going to be up against it. However, no one counted for the value in mates supporting each other. When Temps goaled two minutes in and everyone got around him, it was clear to everyone who saw it that our boys had come to play to support their teammates who had lost their dear father the week before. Hampton Club Notes Round 12

The Colts kept their finals chances alive by forging a win over Chelsea Heights at home last Saturday. After a solid first half the boys found themselves 28 points up and in control. With Josh Burbidge on fire, we extended the lead in the second half running out 42 point victors. Al Matthews’ two goals were important, as was the contributions of Lewis & Burbidge who played well all day. [Full Story]
